Cockermouth Golf CourseCockermouth Golf Club is situated in the fells at Embleton, 4 miles East of Cockermouth. Designed by famed golf course architect James Braid, it is a scenic nine-hole fell-land course, set against a picturesque background of the beautiful Cumbria countryside. It can be played as an eighteen hole course and as such measures 5496 yards with a par of 72. Most greens are fast and sloping, and the bunkers are strategically placed for maximum effect. The frequent strong winds also add an extra dimension to playing here. |
